Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing various construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines. This is a hands-on role that requires robust carpentry skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials using hand tools, power tools, and equipment
Install doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, flooring, trim work, and other carpentry components
Collaborate with project managers to plan project timelines and coordinate with other tradespeople
Supervise and train carpentry assistants or apprentices
Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:




Proven experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry
Proficient in construction painting, blueprint reading, concrete forming, flooring installation, masonry, and other carpentry-related tasks
Robust knowledge of building materials and their applications
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Education:
Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
carpentry: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
Driving Licence (preferred)
