At Sixth Sense Resources, we partner with clients that are seeking Apprentice and Journeyman Welders. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop welding skills, gain hands-on experience, and advance toward certification as a professional welder. The role involves working under supervision to perform welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks with precision and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong technical ability, attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work while following established safety protocols and procedures on various projects.

Duties
Assist in preparing materials and equipment for welding operations, including rigging and setup.
Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on various metal components following blueprints and schematics.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and measuring devices such as tape measures and micrometers to ensure precise dimensions.
Conduct basic machining tasks as needed to prepare components for welding or assembly.




Assist with ductwork fabrication, steel framing, or other construction-related tasks as required.
Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure working setting for all team members.
Collaborate with experienced welders and supervisors to improve skills in welding techniques and manufacturing processes.
For Journeyman Welders, guide and mentor apprentices

Skills
Knowledge of rigging procedures and mechanical systems used in manufacturing or construction settings.
Proficiency in MIG welding and experience with TIG welding is a plus.
Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
Basic understanding of mechanical principles and math skills necessary for measurements and calculations.
Previous construction, industrial, or maintenance experience is highly desired
Solid communication skills for effective teamwork and understanding instructions.
