Bookkeeper – Part-time position

We are seeking a part time bookkeeper for E Y Properties, and two smaller companies owned by the same directors. Offices located in Esquimalt.

Work undertaken by the firms includes development and construction of residential properties and financial activities supporting other developers.

Main job tasks, duties and responsibilities include:

· Accounts payable postings and payments

· Bank and Investment accounts reconciliations

· Reconcile and track promissory notes (mortgages)

· Ensure time sensitive direct bank payments of loan draws are made

· Prepare and process small payroll

· Allocate and post intercompany transactions

· Provide month end financial statements

· Maintain complete filing system to support financial records

· Compile documents for accountant for fiscal year ends

Secondary job tasks may include:

· Checking and restocking office supplies





· Tracking and confirming values for sponsorships and donations

· Assisting with end of year corporate gifts

Experience Required

Knowledge of bookkeeping practices, generally accepted accounting principles and procedures

Experience with Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Sage 50 required. Experience with EasyPay, remote desktop, and online banking would be beneficial.

Knowledge or some experience in construction or development would be favourable but not completely necessary.

Estimated time approximately 3 days per week in office, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Time may vary at Year End periods.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
