Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared and sterilized efficiently.
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
Manage patient records accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic, including scheduling appointments and updating medical histories.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while following safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
Support administrative tasks like checking in patients as a dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and managing appointment schedules.




Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of the treatment area in compliance with health regulations.
Assist with the fabrication of dental appliances using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology when needed for orthodontic or restorative cases.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with a solid understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic to streamline patient records and appointments.
Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and materials to assist orthodontic treatments effectively.
Ability to communicate clearly with pediatric patients and their families to create a positive experience.
Familiarity with CAD technology for designing dental appliances or restorations is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy clinical environment.
Strong teamwork ethic combined with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities within the practice.
