Role Details
Canadian Cancer Society Lodges provide a place to stay for cancer patients during their treatments away from home. It is a supportive setting for people with cancer and their adult companions. As a volunteer at the Lodge, you play an essential role in creating a home away from home for the clients and their families. The Lodges are located near cancer treatment centres.
Description
Your Duties would include:
Plan, organize and implement activities for our lodge guests
One evening a week, will work as a team with other activity volunteers
Create a monthly calendar of events to share with staff and lodge guests
Ensure activities are safe and engaging for our lodge guests

What we're looking for
Experience planning group recreational activities is an asset
Creating activities that enrich the experience of our clients
Friendly, patient and outgoing
Comfortable working with a wide variety of people
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Valuable communication skills
