Duties
Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques
Assist with special events
Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs
Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities
Maintain and repair sports equipment
Train and supervise staff
Understand principles of group dynamics
Schedule activities, keep logs, maintain records, and prepare reports
Leading/instructing groups
Leading/instructing individuals
Provide lifestyle awareness information
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Assemble supplies, sports, and game equipment
Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required
Qualifications:
Completion of a post-secondary diploma is required.
Level 1 certificate in coaching.
Experience supervising 5 – 10 people for a minimum of 1 year.
Effective interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills.
Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience.
The ability to understand and communicate with clients from the ages of 5 to 75 and various cultures.
Must be available to work a adaptable schedule that includes weekdays, Monday to Friday and occasional weekends,
Job Types: Permanent, Full time
Pay: $27.00 per hour
