Toronto Tapers is looking to add a Drywall Apprentice to our team. If you have experience in the drywall industry and possess a positive attitude, we want to hear from you! Jobs will be within Toronto and GTA. Additional compensation is made for jobs outside a 60km radius of our head office.

The key responsibilities of a Drywall Apprentice are the following:
Follow directions provided by Journeyman or Foreman
Install drywall for residential and commercial applications
Install DensGlass for interior and exterior applications
Install metal, plastic, and vinyl beads
Install plywood or metal backing
Install insulation and vapour barrier
Set up and take down scaffolding as required
Clean the job site
Move and stage material for installation
Enforce and follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work workplace




Clock in and clock out on company timesheet, including detailed description of duties performed

Job Qualifications
Previous experience installing drywall on mid-sized residential or commercial constructions projects
Own tools to perform all aspects of work
WHIMIS and Working at Heights Training
In - depth knowledge of construction process from material selection, techniques, and tools
Take pride in their work
Physically able to lift heavy tools and materials
Effective communication skills with the ability to give and take direction from others
Must be punctual and having own means of transportation
Excellent attitude and willingness to learn and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
