Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Intern to support our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care and medication management. This paid internship offers valuable hands-on experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting, ideal for students pursuing a career in pharmacy or healthcare. The intern will assist licensed pharmacists with daily operations, patient interactions, and medication preparation, gaining insight into pharmaceutical practices and medical terminology.

Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing under supervision
Support patient care activities, including answering basic questions and providing medication information
Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and documentation
Help organize and manage pharmacy supplies and stock levels
Learn and apply medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations
Support administrative tasks such as data entry and filing of prescriptions
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and health regulations within the pharmacy environment

Experience




Prior hospital or pharmacy technician experience is preferred but not required
Familiarity with patient care procedures and medication administration processes is advantageous
Knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals enhances performance in this role
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to confidentiality are essential
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
