Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a rapid-paced restaurant setting. Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or hotel settings is preferred but not required. The Host/Hostess will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our guests and supporting the overall operations of the establishment.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly first impression
Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings or inquiries
Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
Monitor guest wait times and communicate effectively with guests regarding wait status
Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience
Support the restaurant team by handling guest inquiries and providing excellent customer service throughout their visit
Qualifications
Proven experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality roles is highly desirable
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse guests
Knowledge of food service operations, POS systems (including Micros POS), and restaurant procedures
Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
Previous hotel or restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory
Friendly demeanor with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
