We are a growing transportation and logistics company based in Surrey, BC. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Accountant & Office Manager to take full ownership of our accounting operations and support day-to-day office administration.

Job Summary

This is a key leadership role responsible for managing all accounting functions independently while also overseeing general office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of handling both financial and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Duties
Manage full-cycle accounting (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, general ledger)
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Handle GST/HST filings, payroll remittances, and corporate tax coordination
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial reporting
Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records
Track transportation-related expenses (fuel, maintenance, fleet costs)
Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and Canadian accounting standards
Coordinate with external accountants and auditors




Oversee day-to-day office operations and administrative tasks
Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and general office organization

Qualifications
CPA designation preferred (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience (senior-level preferred)
Experience in transportation, logistics, or trucking industry is an asset
Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws and accounting standards
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
