Job Description:

We're partnering with a manufacturing organization to hire a Cost Accounting Manager who will play a key role in driving financial performance across multiple manufacturing facilities in Canada and the United States.

This is a highly visible position that sits at the intersection of finance and operations, working closely with senior leadership, plant management, supply chain, and operations teams. The successful candidate will take ownership of product costing, inventory valuation, operational reporting, and financial analysis while helping to improve processes and support continued growth.

What You'll Be Doing

· Lead product costing and standard costing processes across multiple manufacturing facilities

· Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, labor, material usage, waste, machine efficiency, and overhead absorption

· Own inventory accounting, valuation, reconciliations, cycle counts, and inventory controls

· Partner with operations leaders to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and cost visibility

· Deliver reporting and analysis on product, customer,



and facility profitability

· Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and year-end activities

· Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and data-driven insights to support decision-making

· Improve costing methodologies, reporting processes, and internal controls

· Support ERP enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives

· Collaborate with both Canadian and U.S. operations in a multi-site manufacturing workplace

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

· CPA designation or equivalent preferred

· 5+ years of progressive cost accounting experience within a manufacturing workplace

· Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing financial analysis

· Experience supporting multiple facilities and complex inventory environments

· Advanced Excel skills and solid data analysis capabilities

· ERP experience (AS400 or similar systems preferred)
