Job Description:

Our client a leading Canadian real estate investment company with a diverse portfolio of commercial and multi-family residential properties is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team due to growth.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
Perform consolidations across multiple real estate entities and investment structures.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings.
Review property-level financial results, investigate variances, and support reporting accuracy.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and management reporting.
Support acquisitions, refinancing, and other strategic finance initiatives.




Utilize Yardi or similar ERP systems to manage financial data and reporting.

Requirements:

Qualifications
CPA designation (or near completion).
4+ years of progressive financial reporting experience, ideally within real estate or a similar asset-intensive industry.
Robust knowledge of IFRS financial statement preparation and consolidations.
Familiarity with Canadian corporate tax compliance, HST, and T2 filings.
Experience with ERP systems (Yardi preferred).
Advanced Excel skills and robust analytical abilities.
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
