Join the Ministry of Setting and Protected Areas as a full-time CWD Field Coordinator in Edmonton. Oversee field components and enhance public education about Chronic Wasting Disease.
In this temporary role, you will manage the planning and delivery of CWD field activities, including creating schedules for technicians and liaising with stakeholders. Robust technical and interpersonal skills are essential as you navigate challenging conditions and promote awareness of wildlife diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of CWD field component planning
• Create schedules and routes for field technicians
• Respond to stakeholder concerns and provide public education
• Organize and obtain necessary field equipment and supplies
• Liaise between field technicians and senior biological staff
Requirements:
• Diploma in Natural Resources, Setting, or related field
• 6 years of driving experience in Canada
• Experience driving large trucks and trailers
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• 5-year Driver's Abstract and Class 5 license
Excel in managing wildlife health initiatives while ensuring public engagement and support in Alberta.
