Job Description We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Catering Service Attendant to support food and beverage service aboard our excursion train. This position is responsible for operating the onboard service counter, assisting passengers with food and beverage purchases, preparing and stocking pre-made food items, and maintaining a clean, welcoming service area throughout each tour.
Starting Hourly Pay Rate: $17.98
The ideal candidate enjoys working with the public, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can provide friendly, effective service while traveling on a moving train.
Key Responsibilities Operate the onboard catering counter during scheduled train excursions
Greet passengers and provide excellent customer service
Take food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system
Serve pre-prepared food items and beverages
Prepare simple food items such as plating, heating, portioning, or packaging as needed
Restock inventory and monitor supply levels throughout trips
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service and storage areas
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines




Assist with opening and closing duties before and after excursions
Work cooperatively with train crew and operations staff to ensure a positive guest experience
Qualifications Customer service or food service experience preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, public-facing workplace
Comfortable working onboard a moving train for extended periods
Robust communication and teamwork skills
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds during shifts
Obtain or be willing to receive a Safe Food Handling and Smart Serve qualification
Additional Information No cash handling required
All food items are pre-prepared
Adaptable schedule including weekends, holidays, and special events may be required
Uniform or dress code may apply
Work Environment This position works onboard a tourist or excursion train and involves direct interaction with passengers in a dynamic hospitality setting. Employees should be comfortable working in close quarters and adapting to varying passenger volumes and trip schedules.
