Senior Business Systems Analyst - Wealth Management & SQL
Location: Toronto, ON

Work Model: Hybrid - 4 days onsite/week

Role Summary
Seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support the modernization of a portfolio management platform. The role will lead functional analysis, requirements, system/data analysis, integration design, and collaboration with business and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead functional analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design.

Create functional specifications, user stories, use cases, data mappings, and system flows.

Perform hands-on SQL/data analysis and reconciliation.

Analyze APIs, batch processing, event-driven flows, and system integrations.

Analyze legacy systems and define modernization/future-state solutions.

Trace end-to-end data across upstream, processing, and downstream systems.

Support production issue analysis and RCA.





Use AI-assisted tools for analysis, requirements, and documentation.

Partner with business, architecture, data, and engineering teams.

Required Skills

5+ years as a BSA, Technical Business Analyst, or Systems Analyst.

Robust SQL and data analysis skills.

Solid experience with functional specifications, data mappings, and system flows.

Experience with APIs, batch processing, and system integrations.

Experience with system modernization/transformation.

Wealth Management / Capital Markets experience.

Understanding of positions, transactions, valuations, and performance.

Robust communication and ability to work across complex enterprise systems.

Nice to Have
Agile / Waterfall experience.
