Enhance early literacy skills in children as a Bilingual Early Literacy Specialist with the City of Windsor. In this temporary full time role, you’ll develop programs and training strategies for children aged birth to six.
The City of Windsor is seeking a passionate specialist for its Housing & Children’s Services Department. This position involves programming, communication strategies, and collaboration with community agencies to promote effective literacy development. Your expertise in both French and English, along with a degree in a relevant field, will be essential in planning and delivering impactful programming.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop literacy programs for children, birth to age 6
• Design and coordinate early literacy training sessions
• Collaborate on literacy initiatives with local agencies
• Facilitate community forums and focus groups
• Attend literacy networking meetings and conferences
Requirements:
• University Degree in Early Childhood Education or similar
• Fluency in French and English, written and oral
• Experience in child and family services
• Registered Early Childhood Educator (R.E.C.E.) preferred
• Valid Driver’s License for offsite travel
