Humber River Health seeks a compassionate Registered Practical Nurse for our Nephrology Unit. This part time role supports critical inpatient care through technology-enhanced nursing.
In your position on the 9 East Unit, you'll focus on nephrology patients, working collaboratively with healthcare specialists to provide comprehensive care. Responsibilities include utilizing electronic documentation, managing care planning, and participating in academic and clinical activities within our innovative hospital. The position requires adaptable shift scheduling and offers you the chance to be directly involved in patient education and mentoring nursing students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform RN tasks for nephrology patients
• Collaborate on care planning and coordination




• Use computerized systems for accurate documentation
• Engage in project teams and hospital committees
• Provide preceptorship for nursing students
Requirements:
• Two-year diploma from a recognized RPN program
• RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Recent nephrology-centric experience, minimum one year
• Current BCLS certification essential
• Skilled in various nursing competencies such as wound care
