Take the helm as the Chief Engineer for Water Management at Highland Valley Copper. This in office Logan Lake role emphasizes strategic water management, compliance, and effective team leadership.
In your full time position, reporting to the Integrated Planning & Production Superintendent, you will be responsible for shaping water management strategies crucial for operations sustainability. This role requires someone with a robust analytical mindset, who can oversee both field and office work, manage consultants, and foster collaboration among diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement site-wide water strategies
• Provide technical leadership in water-related initiatives
• Ensure compliance through monitoring and performance tracking
• Mentor the water planning team for high-quality deliverables
• Spearhead CAPEX and OPEX planning for water resources
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline
• At least 10 years’ experience in water planning
• Strong knowledge in water modelling and infrastructure
• Registered with EGBC as P. Eng., or eligible
• Excellent communication to engage stakeholders effectively
