Become a Registered Early Childhood Educator with YWCA Hamilton, focused on empowering children aged 18 months to 5 years through cutting-edge programs within a licensed child care setting. This role operates on a temporary basis, encompassing 37.5 hours weekly.
Your guidance will help cultivate a nurturing, educational setting while adhering to the YWCA mission. You will work closely with the Children's Programs Supervisor, ensuring that all activities meet educational standards and community needs. Building relationships with families and maintaining open lines of communication will enhance the children's learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create a nurturing setting promoting child growth
• Implement engaging curriculum tailored to children’s interests
• Capture and document children’s developmental progress
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and supervision outdoors
• Collaborate with parents and external agencies
Requirements:
• Completion of 2 years’ Early Childhood Education
• Active registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
• Experience in a licensed child care setting preferred
• Current Vulnerable Sector Police check required
• Standard First Aid and CPR C certificate
