Assist with the innovative project A Black History of Photography as a Research Assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University. Engage in agile event planning and collaboration.
Reporting to Dr. Thierry Gervais, this MA-level role supports a project focused on revisiting photography through a Black lens. You will play a crucial role in organizing events, documenting discussions, and promoting participation. Solid communication skills and a keen interest in photography history are vital to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Take detailed meeting minutes for documentation
• Participate actively in planning sessions
• Promote the event to the School of Image Arts
• Collaborate with student volunteers for project success
• Create informative materials for presentations
Requirements:
• Enthusiasm for Black visual history
• Experience in managing events
• Proficient in public engagement strategies
• Robust teamwork and communication capabilities
• Available for 10 hours per week
