Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Finance is responsible for the Company's financial reporting, processes and controls, budgeting process, annual audit process, and corporate tax compliance.ResponsibilitiesFinanceDirects the preparation and consolidation of all internal and external financial reporting required for a Canadian listed (TSX: DBM) multinational manufacturing and distribution organization (Canada and United States)Plans, directs, and coordinates accounting functions such as month-end and year-end closing processesReviews and approves monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, annual tax returns and actively monitors cash flowOversees corporate and sales tax compliance, government audits and tax planning, including monitoring corporate tax structure and strategy to ensure tax optimizationOversees the preparation of consolidated cash flow forecasts, cash management and treasury functions, and review of cash flow and budgetsCoordinates year-end audits with external auditors and bank authorities, as well as filing of statutory reportsCoordinates the corporate wide budgeting processEnsures compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsAssesses current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvements and implementing recent processesEvaluates accounting and internal controls, in collaboration with internal auditorReviews financial results with operational managementWorks with senior management on due diligence in connection with potential corporate acquisitionsWorks with operations to ensure compliance with corporate inventory management policiesParticipates in ERP system upgrades, as requiredPeople ManagementCreates and maintains a positive, productive,



and transparent work environment and team atmosphereManages and develops finance staffConducts performance assessments on a regular basisManages day-to-day activities of direct reports to ensure adherence to established deadlines while maintaining quality of work efforts.InteractionsReports to CFO, and communicates regularly with General Managers, Directors, President, Corporate Counsel, CEO, and Chair of the Audit Committee.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesFinanceMinimum five years of experience in a senior financial role for a similar sized organization, listed company preferredExperience with large scale ERPs such as JDE, SAP, etc.People ManagementAn empowering leader with the ability to develop, inspire and lead a team in the achievement of business objectivesDelegates effectively and monitors the team to ensure they have the skills and resources to meet deadlines and commitmentsChampions best practices, creative thinking, effective planning and timely decision-makingAccepts accountability for results and embraces changeAbility to develop effective working relationships with staff, internal customers, and other stakeholdersStrong verbal and written communication skillsPersonal AttributesStrong attention to detailAbility to meet deadlines and work under pressure while ensuring quality of workA high degree of self-discipline with good time management and organizational skillsDemonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skillsProven ability to streamline and improve policies,



systems and proceduresProven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesRequired QualificationsUniversity degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related disciplineMinimum five years of experience in a senior financial role for a similar sized organization, listed company preferredExperience with large scale ERPs such as JDE, SAP, etc.Compensation and BenefitsThe typical hiring range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 annually. The base pay offered is based on geographical location and may vary depending on the applicant's job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Similar positions located in other geographical locations may not necessarily receive the same salary range.
