About the Role
Brycon is currently seeking CAD Technicians to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting project delivery through accurate quantity takeoffs, construction layout preparation, and 3D modeling for civil projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain detailed CAD drawings for heavy civil construction projects
Perform quantity takeoffs and calculations from drawings and models
Develop and manage 3D models for construction planning and execution
Assist with construction layout, including coordinate geometry and field data preparation
Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Revise drawings based on project changes and field feedback




Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
Experience with 3D modeling in a civil construction setting
Strong understanding of construction drawings, surveying, and layout principles
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in heavy civil construction projects
Familiarity with GPS machine control and survey data workflows
Knowledge of earthworks and infrastructure construction methods
