Join our D2 unit as a Registered Practical Nurse, committed to person-centred, evidence-based care for internal medicine and nephrology patients. Collaborate within an interprofessional team to enhance patient outcomes.
This role emphasizes independent and collaborative nursing practices, providing a patient-focused approach in a fast-paced, acute care environment. You'll engage deeply in care assessment, planning, and evaluation while supporting continuous professional development and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and identify patient and family needs thoroughly • Plan and reassess care strategies based on evolving needs • Implement and evaluate evidence-based interventions • Foster a culture of quality improvement in nursing practice • Work closely with RNs to ensure comprehensive care delivery
Requirements: • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario • Current certification in CPR from the Heart and Stroke Foundation • Preferred diploma in RPN with acute care experience • Completion of Sunnybrook Advanced Assessment Course within 2 years • Exceptional critical-thinking and teamwork abilities
