Freestone Construction is a licensed residential builder based in Fernie, BC. We specialize in renovations, additions, and custom homes, with a focus on quality workmanship, explicit communication, and well-managed projects.
We are looking for a Journeyperson Carpenter who can step into an active workload and contribute right away. This role suits someone who is confident working independently, takes ownership of their work, and maintains a high standard on site.

Key Responsibilities:
Execute a wide range of carpentry tasks from framing through finishing




Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Work closely with project managers, lead hands, and subcontractors
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Identify and communicate issues proactively
Support and mentor apprentices as needed

Requirements:
Journeyperson Carpenter certification or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of residential construction practices and sequencing
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and quality control
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Own basic hand tools

Preferred Experience:
Residential renovations and additions
Working in occupied homes
Leading small crews or managing scopes independently
