- Prepares,produces, and bakes breakfast pastries, breads, rolls, andsome desserts.
- Developsnew products for a la carte or menus on a rotating basis.
- Decoratesbaked goods, such as cream pies, using a pastry bag.
- Setstime and speed controls for mixing machines, or blendingmachines, so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked accordingto instructions.
- Measuresor weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs,fillings, or whipped cream, using scales or graduatedcontainers.
- Preparegarnishes as needed for baked goods.
- Maintainsadequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures theproper storage and refrigeration.
- Keepsspoilage/waste to a minimum by ordering and utilizing properquantities and rotating products.
- Linesup baked products in mobile carts according to theneeds of theparticular outlet or function.
- Utilizesany and all leftovers into usable products.
- Cleans,breaks down, and puts away all baking equipment including:ovens,



mixers, proofer, floors, freezer, andrefrigerators.

Requirements

- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Moreeducation or experience may be preferred.
- Strongcommunication, time and resource management, and planningskills.
- Attentionto detail, especially when performing quality inspections oningredients and products.
- Basicmath and computer skills.
- Willingnessto work independently or with other team members to solveproblems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create amazingbaked goods.
- Flexibilityto work around customer demands, including early morning, night,weekend, and holiday availability.
- Abilityto work in a hot, hectic setting; stand, walk, bend, usehands and appliances; and lift heavy items for extendedperiods.
