Take charge of day-to-day operations as a Lead Hand in General Maintenance at the University of Calgary. Oversee maintenance and grounds teams while ensuring high standards and safety across campus facilities.
In this full time role, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor, coordinating maintenance teams and activities to ensure optimal facility conditions. Your leadership will support a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position requires regular contact with various departments and may involve shift work and call-outs based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direction and coaching to maintenance staff daily
• Inspect maintenance work to ensure safety compliance




• Conduct routine inspections of building areas for maintenance
• Monitor and organize storage areas and equipment
• Address client concerns to enhance customer satisfaction
Requirements:
• High School graduation diploma required
• Experience in lead-hand or operational coordination
• Computer skills for management systems
• Solid customer service orientation
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with positive record
