Must be able to legally work in Canada.Positions Available: 1ResponsibilitiesPeople Strategy & Function Build-OutEstablish and scale a modern People function, implementing best practices, systems, and processes that support a high-growth organizationDevelop and operationalize a explicit People strategy aligned with LBMX’s business objectives and growth plansBuild infrastructure across HR, talent, and operations to enable consistency and scalabilityPerformance & Organizational EffectivenessDesign and lead performance management frameworks that reinforce accountability, transparency, and measurable outcomesPartner with leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, ensuring clear roles, expectations, and alignment across teamsImplement tools and processes to track, analyze, and improve people and performance metricsHR Operations & ComplianceOwn all HR operations across Canada and the U.S., including payroll, benefits administration, and regulatory complianceEnsure adherence to cross-border employment laws, policies,



and best practicesEvaluate and optimize HR systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracyTalent Acquisition & Workforce PlanningBuild and scale a structured recruiting function capable of supporting aggressive hiring targetsDevelop repeatable hiring processes, employer branding, and candidate experience standardsPartner with Finance and leadership to lead workforce planning, headcount modeling, and hiring prioritizationLeadership Partnership & Employee RelationsServe as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on complex people matters, including employee relations, performance issues, and terminationsProvide guidance grounded in sound judgment, risk awareness, and business alignmentCoach leaders to strengthen management capability and drive consistency across the organizationCulture & Employee ExperienceShape and reinforce a high-performance, in-office culture that aligns with LBMX’s values and operating principlesDevelop initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall workplace experienceEnsure the organization remains a compelling and productive environment for top talentOrganizational Growth & Change ManagementSupport organizational scaling efforts, including structural changes, process improvements, and M&A; readiness and integrationDrive change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of recent processes, systems, and structures across teamsTeam LeadershipLead and develop the People & Operations team,



setting clear expectations and driving execution across all HR functionsBuild a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, responsiveness, and continuous improvementSkill Requirements8+ years of experience in HR leadership roles, including Director of People or equivalent positionsMinimum of 3+ years managing and developing HR team membersProven experience operating in high-growth environments, with a robust focus on HR business partnering and workforce planningExperience managing HR operations across both Canada and the United States, including cross-border compliance and payrollDemonstrated success building recruiting functions and scaling hiring processesExperience partnering with Finance on headcount planning and workforce forecastingExperience developing, tracking, and leveraging people metrics to inform decision-makingCertifications & ToolsCHRL or CHRP designation requiredExperience with HR, payroll systems, and PEO providers (e.G., ADP Workforce, BambooHR, etc.)CompensationSalary Range: $130,000 to $140,000 annually, based on experience and qualificationsWhat You Can Expect at LBMXCompetitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package, including a health spending account and employee assistance programThree weeks’ vacation and five personal days to start, plus additional paid LBMX holidays throughout the yearCompany matched GRSP contributionsFlexible summer hours and a strong commitment to work-life balanceEducation subsidies to support your professional growthMaternity, Parental, and Compassionate Care Leave top-up program$500 recent hire home office allowanceLBMX is committed to building an inclusive workplace.
