ironworker helper

- Location: 34224 Cedar Avenue Abbotsford, BC V2S 2W2
- Work location: On site
- Salary: $ 30.00 HOUR hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
- Contract: Permanent employment Full time
- Schedule: Morning, Day, Weekend, Shift, Flexible schedule
- Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Responsibilities

- Load, unload and transport construction materials
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
- Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
- Pave and rake asphalt
- Clean and pile salvaged materials
- Perform routine maintenance work
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites

Qualifications

- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
- Valid driver's licence
- Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, physically demanding




- Tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, sitting
- Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) or More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
- Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Uniform, Cellular phone, Ear plugs, Safety vest, Rain gear
