Insight Global is seeking a lead Java developer in Toronto for a Canadian Tier 1 Bank, working on its Rates Derivative Pricing System. You will be the primary point of contact for traders, Quants, and support partners across North America and APAC, and will lead development projects that expand the system's capabilities to support the Capital Markets Macro trading business.This is a hands-on technical leadership role — you'll be writing production code daily while setting the technical direction for the work. It is
not a people-management position ;
there are no direct reports.This is also a front-office-facing role at the intersection of finance and technology — you'll need the technical depth to build low-latency systems and the capital markets fluency to work directly with the trading desk.Responsibilities

7+ years of hands-on server-side Java development, with solid emphasis on concurrency, messaging, and event processing1+ years setting technical direction in a lead or senior engineering capacity (hands-on technical leadership, not people management)Working knowledge of capital markets and the trade lifecycle, sufficient to communicate effectively with traders and QuantsCurve building and interest rate swap pricing knowledge, with hands-on experience in
at least one
