The Labourer is part of an effective construction team that successfully completes projects according to approved plans, specifications and applicable codes while maintaining high quality and a protected workplace.Responsibilities
Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areasErect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, barricades and other items required at construction sitesAssist and work with tradespersons and other members of the construction teamAssist and work with heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment,



signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activitiesAssist in aligning pipes and perform other related activities during underground utilities constructionAssist in excavation and backfill and other related activities during earthworks construction using shovels, rakes, plate tampers and other applicable toolsChecks slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasersRemove rubble and debris to maintain and clean and protected working environmentOperate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directedOperate and maintain machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumpsMay perform other related duties as requiredQualifications
2+ years experience in a construction environment or in a similar roleFamiliar with construction terms and practicesEffective verbal and listening communication skillsAbility to understand and effectively execute verbal and written directionsAdheres to company Health, Safety, & Environmental reporting and standard assessmentsMust possess a valid driver’s license
