JOB SUMMARY :

The clinical resource nurse participates in the coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care delivery to a psychiatric clientele in order to provide therapeutically competent, ethical and safe care.

REQUIREMENTS :
Registered with the College of Nursing of Current Brunswick (CNNB);
Bachelor of Science in Nursing;
Three years' experience in psychiatric nursing care;
Certificate in psychiatric nursing / mental health (CNA) would be an asset;
Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certificate;
Valuable knowledge of the following computer applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
Training in non-violent crisis intervention or commitment to take such training within set timelines;
Prevention and Management of Suicidal Behaviours in a Psychiatric Hospital Setting or commitment to take such training within set timelines;
Ability to manage stressful situations and to set priorities;
Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions and resolve conflicts;
Proven leadership skills;
Initiative and sound judgment;




Ability to teach and transmit knowledge to others;
Individual or group facilitation skills;
Ability to act as a change agent;
Ability to work independently and as a team member;
Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
Positive previous work history (performance and attendance);
Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalite Health Network.
