Your impact We are looking for an Electrical Inspector to add to our construction management team in Toronto, ON in the municipal water and wastewater sector. Responsibilities Perform site inspections with a focus on electrical/mechanical aspects, particularly in water/wastewater, process manufacturing, instrumentation and control, and/or oil/gas contexts. Interpret and apply construction practices and regulatory/industry requirements (e.G., Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Building Code). Anticipate and solve problems during construction with foresight and balanced judgment. Ensure high-quality implementation of design in the field. Maintain respectful communication and collaborate effectively with project teams to get tasks completed. Be resourceful, independent, and willing to acquire new knowledge. Utilize Windows-based software (e.G., Word, Excel,



Outlook) as part of site administration. Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in site inspection with a focus on electrical/mechanical inspection; experience in water/wastewater, process manufacturing, instrumentation and control, and/or oil/gas is an asset. Knowledge of construction practices and regulatory/industry requirements (e.G., Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Building Code). Foresight and balanced judgment in anticipating and solving problems during construction. Ability to ensure high quality implementation of designs in the field. Demonstrated strengths in respectful communication and collaboration with people to achieve results. Resourceful, independent, and willing to go the extra mile to obtain new knowledge. Proficiency in Windows-based software (Word, Excel, Outlook). Valid driver’s license. Ideally you’ll also have Electrical Engineering Technology or Technician diploma or equivalent demonstrated experience. Experience in medium to large-scale municipal construction projects. Experience inspecting the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment (switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, cabling); familiarity with process control systems, PLC panels, and networking equipment (asset). Knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and Electrical Safety Authority Safety Bulletins.



Experience inspecting electrical systems with voltage up to 5 kilovolts. Experience using software tools to complete site inspection reports, photographs, and maintain contract documentation (e.G., Autodesk Build, Procore, Bluebeam Revu). Ability to work at heights and maintain records of contract changes, field changes, and construction deficiencies. Ability to work with project teams to resolve construction issues and contribute innovative ideas. Ability to work effectively on multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrate a passion for infrastructure construction. Salary Posted Salary Range Minimum: 70,000 Posted Salary Range Upper: 105,000 The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $105,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for current hire salaries for the position across Ontario, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
