DXP |Supply Chain Services is looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual with experience in general industrial supply, inventory management, and procurement for our location in Stratford, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting purchasing activities, monitoring supplier performance, managing purchase orders, and assisting with inventory and procurement-related projects.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the Buyer include, but are not limited to:Optimizing the use of negotiated supplier buy plansProviding analysis and recommendations for location specific inventory levels, replenishments, and methodologiesExpediting purchase ordersPerforming daily clerical activities including initiating RFQs, creating and issuing purchase orders, obtaining confirmation of purchase orders from suppliers, updating delivery dates,



and following up on ordersEnsuring purchase orders are accurately entered and issued in a timely mannerCommunicating effectively with requisitioning departments and arranging for proper and accurate information exchange between originator and vendorReconciling variances between Purchase Orders and Invoices (Price, Quantity, delivery & billing info)Maintaining vendor files, purchase price, price fluctuations, and quality recordsAssisting with project work as assignedQualificationsGeneral Industrial Supply and product experienceInventory Management and Procurement experienceSuperior analytical and math skills, with knowledge of statistical forecasting a plusProficient in Microsoft ExcelHave excellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work both in a team setting and independentlyIs well organized with solid ability to multitaskSalary: $65,000 annuallyAdditional Information:This posting is for an existing vacancy.Applicants who successfully complete the first stage of the interview process may be required to complete an evaluation-based assessment.We thank all applicants for their interest;
