Employment Terms: Temporary part‑time (0.5 FTE, 56 hours per 3 weeks)

Start Date: July 6, 2026

End Date: October 17, 2026

Responsibilities

Ensures all work is in alignment with the organization's missions, goals, values, and strategic plans to promote high-quality, safe client care. Accomplishes this by assisting in establishing and maintaining best practice; assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating unit orientation, in‑servicing, and other educational programming; assessing learning needs; acting as a clinical resource; promoting client and family‑centered care; participating in committee work as assigned; participating in continuous improvement activities; developing and maintaining client and staff resources.



The incumbent functions as a member of the interprofessional clinical team to promote effective delivery of client care, including regular direct communication and input from unit managers of Nursing.

Qualifications

- 3–5 years experience with palliative care clients
- Five years clinical experience in the specific department/area
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
- Skilled Assault Response Training (PART)
- Palliative care medical intensive course
- ACLS training required upon hire
- Communication skills to provide and obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice
- Organizational skills
