We support public and private sector clients across a range of operational and infrastructure environments.About The RoleWe are seeking an experiencedTransmission Engineerto support engineering and project execution activities for one of our clients across Newfoundland and Labrador.In this role, you will complete technical engineering analysis of Transmission Line Infrastructure using PLS Cadd, and perform all aspects of project execution. Strong experience and understanding of this software is preferred.This role is37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an anticipated start date ofOctober 1, 2026, and an end date ofOctober 1, 2027. material and equipment orders and contract documents.Evaluation and recommendation for contract awards and performance of construction management duties for assigned projects.Review and support the development of capital budget applications, while coordinating with a multi-discipline team to perform estimates and develop the technical justification for proposed work for regulated infrastructure.Education And Experience RequiredBachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Electrical) and registration with PEGNL as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)Minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceExperience in the use of PLS Cadd Software Suite including PLS Cadd, PLS Pole, and PLS Tower.Willingness to travel periodicallyProven and demonstrated communication skillsAbility to thrive as a participant within a multi-discipline team of both internal and external resourcesRelevant experience in design, implementation and troubleshootingExperience in developing and managing engineering consultant contractsExperience in developing and managing construction contractsExperience in engineering project estimatesAdditional DetailsPosition location: St. John's, NL, with travel throughout Newfoundland and Labrador as requiredValid Canadian driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract requiredCriminal record check requiredNorth Star Associates is strongly committed to employment equity.
