Take on a pivotal role at Western University as a Business Development Manager in Engineering and Sciences. This is a full time, on-site position focusing on innovation commercialization.

Reporting to the Director of the Western Technology Transfer Office, you will lead strategies to promote technology transfer and industry partnerships. Responsibilities include managing intellectual property and building relationships with stakeholders to leverage Western’s research capabilities for commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:
• Establish commercialization strategies for university innovations
• Negotiate research agreements and licensing terms
• Evaluate and oversee patent processes
• Seek funding for prototype development and spin-offs




• Cultivate industry relationships for knowledge transfer

Requirements:
• Master’s or PhD in an Engineering or Science field preferred
• 5 years of relevant business development experience
• Familiarity with the commercialization process and intellectual property
• Proven communication and negotiation skills
• Experience collaborating in academia and industry
