Some engineering projects require more than technical expertise. They require someone who can connect the dots between engineering, suppliers, schedules, budgets, and business priorities.
That's what this role is about.
We're looking for an experienced IPT Leader – Avionics Systems to take ownership of a portfolio of avionics development activities within a major commercial aircraft program.
You'll be the person helping turn complex technical needs into organized, achievable plans — bringing the right people together, making priorities explicit, removing obstacles, and keeping delivery on track.
Where You'll Make a Difference You’ll have a broad view of the avionics development portfolio and will be responsible for keeping multiple initiatives moving in the right direction.
Your day-to-day may include:
Determining which development activities need attention first and helping teams understand why.
Bringing engineering, program, manufacturing, suppliers, and other stakeholders together to work through complex issues.
Taking ownership of project timelines, budgets, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
Reviewing competing requirements and helping determine the best solution for the overall program.
Working with suppliers to establish realistic commitments and addressing issues when expectations aren't being met.
Providing leadership with a explicit picture of what's on track, what's at risk, and where decisions are needed.
Anticipating problems before they affect delivery and coordinating recovery plans when necessary.
Supporting the long-term planning of avionics development activities.
Creating a collaborative environment where technical experts and business stakeholders can work effectively together.
Finding practical ways to make development and project execution more efficient.
What Will Make You Successful We're not looking for someone who checks a box on avionics experience alone.
The strongest candidates will bring a combination of technical understanding, project leadership, and the ability to influence people across an organization.
You'll bring:
10+ years of professional experience in a relevant technical or program environment.
A university degree in engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
Experience managing technical projects or programs and/or working with embedded systems.
Experience in aerospace or another technically complex industry.
A track record of bringing multidisciplinary teams together to deliver results.
Strong experience managing stakeholders, suppliers, schedules, budgets, and risks.
The ability to communicate comfortably with engineers, project leaders, suppliers, and senior management.
Knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, or embedded technology.
Solid judgment, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working across multicultural or international teams.
Fluency in French and English.
Additional assets: PMP certification, Master's degree or MBA, aerospace supplier experience, or experience managing large development portfolios.
What You Can Expect This is an opportunity to work on complex aircraft systems where your decisions can influence what gets developed, how it gets delivered, and how teams work together.
You’ll have exposure to:
Multidisciplinary engineering organizations
International suppliers and stakeholders
Portfolio and budget management
Professional development and career mobility
Hybrid work options based on operational requirements
Competitive compensation and benefits
Travel: Occasional international business travel may be required.
If you're a technical project or program leader who enjoys bringing people, technology, and priorities together, this could be the next challenge you're looking for.
