Become the Strategic Director at BCER, focusing on orphan restoration and risk management in Fort St John or Victoria. Lead initiatives to mitigate financial and environmental risks associated with the sector.
As the Strategic Director for Orphan Restoration, you will provide leadership in managing liabilities tied to orphan oil and gas sites. This role demands collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, including First Nations and regulatory bodies, to share best practices and enhance policies. You will also engage with the Finance department to ensure accuracy in financial reporting tied to restorative efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead implementation of the Orphan Treatment and Closure Plan
• Oversee risk management and mitigation strategies
• Facilitate collaboration with industry and government partners
• Ensure effective identification of operator insolvency risks
• Guarantee accurate financial reporting of liabilities
Requirements:
• Solid experience in environmental risk management
• Solid background in leading restoration initiatives
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills
• Relevant qualifications in environmental sciences or similar disciplines
