Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview Under the supervision of the Manager, the Porter Aide transports patients to and from the Diagnostic Imaging Department as directed and in accordance with standardized procedures. The Porter Aide maintains the supply of materials and department supplies, as ensures dressing rooms are kept tidy.
Functions are conducted in accordance with the Mission and Values of Shared Health, current policies and procedures and applicable legislation.
Experience Six (6) months previous experience working directly with patients in a healthcare setting.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade 12 education (MB Standards).
Certification/Licensure/Registration Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training – as delineated in Prairie Mountain Health Policy PPG-00002 CPR Training.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
