Join the ESL program as a Teaching Assistant for ESL 160 at the University of Ottawa for the upcoming Fall Semester 2026. Broaden students' English skills through hands-on instructional support.

In this role, you will be involved in delivering components of the Teaching, Immersion & English Refinement Program for language refinement and EMI training. You'll engage directly with students to enhance their speaking and listening abilities and foster their professional communication skills within a collaborative setting. The focus on interactive learning will enrich students’ academic experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and assist in lesson delivery
• Conduct Interactive Language Lab activities
• Monitor student engagement during sessions




• Facilitate vocabulary and pronunciation practice
• Report on class activities and student progress

Requirements:
• Knowledge of ESL practices and techniques
• Background in education or language instruction
• Excellent verbal communication in English
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must attend in-person classes during assigned times
