Flying Metro aircraft is a great way to build your flying skills and gain valuable experience in your career as a pilot. These turbine-powered, pressurized, high performance aircraft provide pilots with the skills of hand-flying, multi-engine, instrument weather, two crew and mountain experience. Embark on a journey as a cargo pilot in Western Canada, offers a unique and exhilarating perspective of the region’s vast and diverse landscapes.
Pilots flying for Carson Air know their schedule in advance, with a great Monday to Friday rotation. The YYC crew is able to have a work-life balance seldom encountered in the aviation industry, typically flying 2-3 times per week and scheduled to return to home base at the end of every day. The First Officer is responsible for assisting the Captain in performing their duties in a safe, efficient and timely manner according to all prescribed regulations, customer requirements and company expectations.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE or SKILLS
Commercial pilot license with multi IFR rating
500 hours of total flight time preferred
100 hours of multi engine flight time preferred
No Transport Canada violations or suspensions
Preferred - Metroliner experience.
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated computer skills and familiarity with Internet
Good oral and written communication skills
Successful applicants will be required to sign a Training Bond Agreement unless they already have a current type rating for the SW4 aircraft.
