Support patient mobility and independence as a Part Time Rehabilitation Assistant at St. Joseph's Health System in Hamilton. This role blends Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy skills for effective patient care.

Join our agile interprofessional team in a part-time capacity. A successful candidate will hold a recognized Physiotherapy Assistant/Occupational Therapist Assistant diploma and must be certified by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Work closely with registered therapists to enhance patient outcomes through mobility training and assist with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in mobility and transfer training with clients
• Support daily living activities under Occupational Therapist guidance




• Collect and document patient data for assessments
• Administer treatment modalities like hydrotherapy and TENS
• Monitor client response to treatments and document effects

Requirements:
• Graduate of a 2-year PTA/OTA certification program
• Minimum three months of clinical experience
• Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with therapy equipment and computer applications
• CPR certification
