As the Associate Director, you will act as EQ Bank's senior subject-matter expert in government relations. Your core responsibilities include monitoring legislative changes, drafting position papers, and executing advocacy strategies. Collaborating with internal teams and external partners, you will ensure the Bank maintains a robust voice in the public policy arena.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of advocacy strategies at all government levels
• Analyze legislative developments and advise senior executives
• Prepare submissions and briefing notes for government entities




• Foster relationships with key public officials and industry associations
• Manage compliance with lobbyist registration and regulations

Requirements:
• 8–10 years in public policy or regulatory affairs
• In-depth knowledge of the Canadian legislative process
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to build influence without direct authority
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries
