The Residential Services Shelter Manager is a agile positive team player and oversees all operations concerning the Womens Safe Shelter and 2nd Stage Housing. This position demands outstanding written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and experience working with victims of interpersonal violence. De-escalation, conflict resolution and problem solving skills are essential to success.
DUTIES Leadership
o Plan, develop, implement and evaluate department operations
o Resolve and mediate any client/staff issues
o Prepare regular reports for funders and board with Executive Director
o Prepare a multiyear work plan and related budgets based on strategic plan
o Staff scheduling
Administrative and Fiscal Management
o Ensure regular maintenance and building upkeep
o Monitor program expenditures against established budgets
o Ensure accurate statistical collection
o Oversee daily operations and 2nd Stage Housing
o Collaborate with Executive Director to compile research and organize funding reports and staff training.
Personnel Management
o Manage Human Resources with Executive Director
o Manage staff orientation, training, schedules and time sheets
o Administer confidential staff management and personnel files
Community Relations
o Attend provincial, regional and local meetings
o Ongoing communications and public relations activities
o Client advocacy and interagency liaison
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree/Post-secondary education or a combination of education and 1-3 years management and supervisory experience is required to fulfill the duties above
Experience in work planning, budgeting and financial monitoring
Experience working with at-risk individuals preferred
Experience in property management and housing advocacy is an asset
Demonstrate knowledge of and empathy for victims of interpersonal violence
Possess a valid Saskatchewan drivers license and access to reliable transportation
