Agnico Eagle is hiring a Telecommunications Technician for its Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake. Leverage your experience with VHF and LTE systems to support underground mining communications.

This role requires a technician with over five years of relevant experience, including two years specializing in Becker Varis SmartCom and LTE systems. You will oversee the repair and maintenance of essential telecommunication installations, ensuring system operational integrity and documentation accuracy. Working closely with internal teams and cross-functional colleagues, your insights will directly contribute to the efficiency of mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install and configure VHF and LTE telecommunication systems
• Provide effective technical support to team members




• Maintain up-to-date system diagrams and documentation
• Resolve complex telecom issues in collaboration with electricians
• Ensure all systems function efficiently for operations

Requirements:
• Telecommunications program or equivalent certification
• Minimum 5 years relevant telecommunications experience
• Proficient in Cisco, Aruba, and wireless systems
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications
• Underground mining experience required
