Candidates should have 2-3 years of outdoor field experience and an interest in learning the archaeological process. Additionally, you will assist lead archaeologists, manage resources, and ensure safety practices are met throughout your duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct pedestrian surveys and shovel testing in the field
• Identify archaeological features and record field data
• Assist lead archaeologists with site-specific observations
• Upload and manage field data efficiently
• Prepare technical memos and site inventory forms
Requirements:
• Minimum 2-3 years of outdoor field experience
• Level 1 First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
• Valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence and clean abstract
• Drug test completion required
• Familiarity with Secwepemc culture preferred
