The Talent Acquisition Specialist collaborates and provides support to all Operating Companies within the Lorval Capital Management group. This role plays a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and selecting top-tier candidates. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing effective recruitment strategies, building a strong talent pipeline, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. This position reports directly to the Director, Human Resources and has the following general duties and responsibilities assigned to their role.
Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment: Collaborate with hiring managers to conduct thorough job analyses and define job requirements.
Propose and work with senior Human Resources personnel to develop and implement recruitment strategies.
Develops a strong pool of qualified candidates by posting on various job boards/networking sites, advertising campaigns, database mining, networking, social media and other sources.
Develops high-touch relationships with pool of qualified active and passive candidates through sourcing to pull from as current positions become available.
Provide full cycle recruitment support which includes but is not limited to:
includes (but is not limited to): sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessing and presenting a diversified and high-quality pool of candidates to hiring manager in a timely manner for all types of roles and position within the organization and as assigned.
Primary contact with external recruitment agencies and consultants
Conduct and administer reference verification
Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to‑date employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
Ensure compliance with data protection laws and internal policies in the management of employee information.
Upload, monitor and maintain and ensure all personnel information is entered into the HRIS system accurately.
Recruitment Administration and Strategy: Prepare Human Resources related documentation.
Collaborate and coordinate with Human Resources Advisors employment offer letters, job descriptions and other agreements
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor practices, and emerging recruitment technologies to continuously improve the talent acquisition process
Maintain, track and analyze recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data‑driven recommendations to the Director, Human Resources for process improvements
Employee Relations: Provide excellent service as the key point of contact for Human Resources related enquiries for all employees and management;
Champion HR Policies and framework while continuing to facilitate effective communication of human resource practices to employees and management.
Foster positive relationships with employees and develop initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Provide assistance on all human resources related events, such as employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and team-building activities.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful planning and execution of human resource events.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Human Resources from accredited institution or program
Minimum 3 years experience as a Talent Acquisition or Recruitment specialist
Experience with social media recruitment
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
Previous experience with an HRIS Applicant Tracking System
Solid analytical skills to review and assess applicants, and to conduct trend analysis and produce statistics
Detail oriented and self‑motivated with a strong capability to prioritize and multi‑task
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and keep organized
Able to take direction and follow through completion
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
