As Hydro Plant Operator, you play a vital role under the supervision of the Plant Operations Manager. This position requires solid operational skills, knowledge of safety management, and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues. You will ensure compliance with health and safety protocols while monitoring equipment performance across hydro and diesel sites.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate generating units in compliance with operational requirements
• Conduct safety inspections and maintenance tasks
• Log operations and prepare equipment for standby




• Collaborate with Control Centre for system restoration
• Report safety compliance and address hazards diligently

Requirements:
• High School Diploma plus 3 years of Journeyperson experience
• Valid Red Seal Journeyperson or NWT certification required
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical schematics
• Experience in power generation is an asset
• Class 5 or Class 3 driver’s license needed
