Support students as a Secondary Education Assistant with School District 71, working 28.75 hours weekly, Monday through Friday. Your role involves aiding diverse learners and fulfilling various educational tasks.

As part of School District 71's inclusive community, this position is designed to assist both individual students and small groups from grades K-12. Candidates should possess a focus on personal care, behavioral management, and instructional support. The Education Assistant supports teachers and contributes to the learning workplace with care and dedication.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students in classroom activities and personal care tasks
• Implement behavior support and health care routines
• Facilitate the inclusion of diverse learners in school activities




• Participate in observation and data collection for IEP implementation
• Provide support across multiple classrooms as needed

Requirements:
• Grade 12 education and Human Services Worker certificate
• Two years of experience supporting diverse students
• Certifications in Crisis Prevention Intervention and CPR-AED
• Proficiency in communication systems and Autism training
• Valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license preferred
