Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a Skilled Welder Fitter to perform custom welding and fabrication with a focus on quality and safety. Utilize your expertise in a supportive, quick-paced environment.

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, this role requires 5-10 years in fabrication. Ideal candidates will have an Ontario Certificate of Qualification in Welding (456A) and possibly in Machinist or Millwright. You will be responsible for fabricating metal aids, reading technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols during operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Fabricate metal components using various welding techniques
• Interpret dimensions from mechanical schematics
• Maintain productivity using Waterjet, Brake Press,



and Shear
• Support apprentices and perform quality checks
• Communicate repair needs with Shop Manager

Requirements:
• 5-10 years experience in a fabrication role
• Must possess an Ontario Welding Certificate (456A)
• Familiar with MIG/TIG welding operations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Capable of lifting heavy items and working safely
